Simple joys

Today was the first day for the CSA! (Community Supported Agriculture). At the beginning of the growing season, it is typical not to expect too much, but boy, was I surprised when I picked up THREE quarts of strawberries, freshly picked this morning.

OHMYGOD.

They are more delicious than they have a right to be. They are not too big and not too small. They are just right.

I am currently experiencing a stomachache from eating too many -- but each time I bite into one, that same amazing joy just comes over me, and I close my eyes and wrap my being around the flavor zinging through my mouth.

I am in love with strawberries.
